Special Use of Trisodium Phosphate

Also known as sodium phosphate, sodium orthophosphate, etc. It belongs to inorganic compounds. Appearance is colorless or white crystals, easy to weathering in dry air, water solution is strong alkaline. It has the function of inactivating virus and can be used for seed and utensil treatment.

Usage method:

(1) Soaking seeds: Soak seeds with 10% trisodium phosphate solution, then pull out the seeds, rinse them with clean water three times, so that the surface of the seeds does not feel slippery, and then hasten the germination and sowing. Soaking time varies with vegetable varieties. (1) Seed soaking for 10 minutes can prevent mosaic disease, mosaic disease and viral disease of watermelon, winter melon and knot melon. (2) Soaking seeds for 20 minutes can prevent and cure virus diseases such as pumpkin and ladle melon, bamboo shoot melon mosaic disease and cucumber mosaic disease. (3) Soaking seeds for 20-30 minutes can prevent and control seed-borne sweet (hot) Pepper Virus Disease and mosaic disease. (4) Tomato seeds were soaked in clear water for 3-4 hours and 10% solution for 40-50 minutes to prevent tomato virus-borne diseases.

(2) Processing equipment: soak leek knife with 10% trisodium phosphate solution to prevent the spread of leek virus disease when cutting leek, and concentrate on processing 4-5 leek knives at the same time.

Matters needing attention

(1) Before treating seeds with this agent, the broken seeds, shriveled seeds and mouldy seeds of the seeds should be picked up. The germinated seeds should not be soaked, otherwise they will be seriously harmful.

(2) It is better to combine with other measures to control virus diseases, which can improve the control effect, such as selecting superior varieties of anti-virus, controlling aphids as early as possible and spraying anti-virus agents.
