Application of Aluminum Dihydrogen Phosphate in High Temperature Resistant Cement

One of the most commonly used methods of concrete reinforcement is to add steel bar, steel mesh, steel plate or fiber into concrete to form a composite material. They work together to improve the mechanical properties of insufficient tensile strength of concrete. Generally, the steel bar bears the tensile force and the concrete bears the compressive stress.

One of the main problems facing the super high-rise building is: when the reinforced concrete building encounters fire, the steel bar becomes soft when heated, and the weight of the building is larger. In this way, the performance of the whole reinforced concrete structure will be reduced, so the high temperature resistance of cement needs to be highlighted.

High-temperature cement is very fast anyway, and the variety is increasing. High-temperature concrete can be made by mixing with refractory aggregate. In China, aluminate cement, phosphate, sodium silicate, magnesia cement and dolomite refractory cement have been successfully developed. High temperature concrete is mainly used in petroleum, metallurgy, chemical industry, power and construction sectors.

Aluminate cement, phosphate, sodium silicate and Portland cement refractory concrete are the four most widely used kilns and thermal equipment.

The following types of binders are used for high temperature concrete

1. Cement [hydration] binders: Portland cement, fast hardening Portland cement, high alumina cement, etc.

2. Air hardening binder: water ratio, periclase cement

3. Chemical binders: sodium silicate, phosphate, etc.

Aluminate cement 900 C also has 70% of its original hardness, and 1300 C maintains 53% of its hardness.

Portland cement has a lower service temperature of high temperature concrete, up to 1400-1500 degrees C.

Phosphate cement is currently used mostly orthophosphate and aluminium dihydrogen phosphate. The refractories and aggregates used in phosphate refractory concrete are corundum, mullite, siliceous clinker, zircon and so on. Their characteristics are good thermal stability, high compressive strength and stability, high load softening temperature, good impact resistance, high cost, water glass cement cementing other aggregates can be used. When water glass refractory concrete is made, water glass itself has good fire resistance. Water glass refractory concrete is generally used in projects below 1000 C.
