Sodium hexametaphosphate ( SHMP)(E452(i ) ) refers to hexamer ( NaPO3)6. It used to be called " Graham" salt. Discovered by Graham in 1832. He heated the salt obtained by dehydration of sodium dihydrogen phosphate, heated it at its melting point ( 625 ℃ ), and rapidly cooled the melt to obtain hygroscopic graham salt. Commercial sodium hexametaphosphate is a mixture of various polyphosphates, namely sodium polymetaphosphate, and hexamer is one of them. Sodium hexametaphosphate is widely used in food and industry.

Sodium aluminium dihydrogen phosphate

Sodium dihydrogen phosphate, also known as acid sodium phosphate, has the molecular formulas of NaH2PO4.2H2O and NaH2PO4, with the relative molecular weights of 156.01 and 119.98. It is divided into anhydrous substance and dihydrate. Dihydrate is colorless to white crystalline or crystalline powder, and anhydrous substance is white powder or granule. It is soluble in water and almost insoluble in ethanol. sodium pyrophosphate is formed when crystalline water is lost and heated at 100 C. Calcium salt takes 0.50g of this product, dissolves in water, adds ammonium oxalate test solution 1ml, and puts in 1 minute, dilutes acetic acid 2ml, ethanol 5ml, and water 25ml, shakes well, if turbid, dries to constant weight calcium carbonate 0.125g with standard calcium solution [precision weighs at 105], puts in 500ml measuring bottle, adds water 5ml and hydrochloric acid 0.5ml mixture to dissolve, dilutes to scale with water, shakes evenly; Previously, the precise measurement was 10 ml, placed in a 100 ml measuring bottle, diluted with water to the scale, shake well. The control solution made of 5.0 ml of Ca equivalent to 10 UG per ml should not be more concentrated (0.01%).
Sodium hexametaphosphate is synthesized by the polymerization of sodium dihydrogen phosphate, and the pH value of its 1% solution is 5.8-7.0. Although all of them are emulsifiers and complexing agents, their effects are too different to be substituted for each other.
