Note: 1. trisodium phosphate can be regarded as the product obtained by replacing all three hydrogen ions H + contained in its molecular formula with three metal sodium atoms Na, using H3PO4 as the parent. Since H3PO4 phosphate is a ternary acid, there are three hydrogen ions in its molecular formula that can be replaced by metal elements.

2. Phosphoric acid can react directly with sodium to form three kinds of sodium salts when there is a hydrogen ion in the formula of phosphoric acid.

When replaced by a metal sodium atom, the first sodium salt, NaH2PO4, is formed. When two hydrogen ions are replaced by two metal sodium atoms in the formula of phosphoric acid, a second sodium salt, Na2HPO4, is formed. These two kinds of sodium salts are called acid salts because of the existence of hydrogen ions in the molecular formula.

3. When the three hydrogen ions in the phosphoric acid molecular formula are completely replaced by three sodium atoms, a third sodium salt, also known as sodium orthophosphate, is formed, namely sodium trisodium phosphate Na3PO4.
