We all know that the tanning industry has always been regarded as a heavily polluting industry, and the ammonia nitrogen content in tannery wastewater is far beyond the secondary standard (25mg/L) in the Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard. According to research, high concentrations of ammonia nitrogen can cause eutrophication of water bodies and also have certain toxic effects on aquatic animals and humans. Moreover, the treatment of ammonia-nitrogen wastewater is very difficult and the treatment cost is quite high. Therefore, ammonia nitrogen pollution can be said to have become an important bottleneck restricting the sustainable development of the tanning industry. Therefore, the use of yucai chemical's sodium hexametaphosphate and boric acid to deliming the liming cowhide can reduce ammonia nitrogen pollution during the tanning process.
