Therefore, it is also a very important step to stabilize the depolymerized pigment particles during the pigment dispersion process, otherwise the paint will be re-flocculated during storage and construction, resulting in a decrease in the quality of the paint. Therefore, sodium hexametaphosphate has a good dispersing effect on the pigment, and the surface energy of the pigment particles is increased, and there is a tendency to aggregate with each other.


In the dispersion system of the paint, the pigment is mainly stabilized by two mechanisms of charge stabilization and stereo protection. It is more common to add some surfactants or inorganic dispersants. Since the aqueous solution of sodium hexametaphosphate is alkaline, the dispersion of the dispersion medium is stronger and the viscosity reduction effect is more obvious, so it is more suitable as a viscosity reducing agent.

Sodium hexametaphosphate has a good viscosity-reducing effect on the dispersion medium. This is because the PO43-after phosphate hydrolysis is easily adsorbed to the positively charged edge of the protective rubber end face, forming a negatively charged edge, and the wafer surface and the end are negatively charged. Sex, the wafers are mutually repelled, and become a low-viscosity, highly dispersed stable suspension in the aqueous medium, so the viscosity is sharply reduced.

Therefore, the bonding mechanism of sodium hexametaphosphate is: it is a viscose after water absorption, which is closely related to the nature of sodium hexametaphosphate itself. The molecular formula of sodium hexametaphosphate is (NaPO3)6, which is a kind of uncertain composition. Phosphate, an anion of sodium hexametaphosphate has a high molecular weight, generally containing up to 30-90 PO3 genes and forming a long chain.

The sodium hexametaphosphate in the inorganic salt can reduce the dispersed particle size of the protective rubber particles of the pigment coating in water, reduce the interaction between the particles, significantly reduce the viscosity, and improve the fluidity.
